The Four-Part WebAccel Suite

The WebAccel suite is composed of four packages:

WebAccel Foundation A set of Java classes with Roundtrip Pre-Processing functionality, which captures all changes and makes them available to the back-end Java beans. In WebAccel, the system retrieves data from the database and inserts it into the robust WebAccel DataSet, a server-based repository. The DataSet automatically captures user changes, and then automatically sends them back to the database or to another data source. You can use single or multiple DataSets, with full transaction control, and you can access the DataSets across a set of related pages.

WebAccel Design Patterns Pre-defined application templates you can use for rapid application development, including:

Internet Pattern Create generic, browser-independent Internet applications for the general public.

Business Pattern Create business applications for a specific audience such as employees, customers, vendors, etc. This powerful, robust pattern supports real-world business requirements.

WebAccel Application Builder Development tools you can use to automate the creation of WebAccel deployment descriptors and JSP pages. Developers can rapidly set up the structure of an application without using HTML. Web designers can utilize sophisticated data-related components within JSP pages without any knowledge of Java or JSP development. Application Builder integrates with Macromedia® DreamWeaver®, which provides Web designers with a familiar tool and a flexible page-development interface.

WebAccel Dynamic Controls A complete library of dynamic graphics such as tabs, control buttons, and toolbars. Compuflex developed the library by using the latest XML-based graphics language: Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). The result? Better looking graphics and faster loading time, with an added bonus: you can create and change controls on the fly. For example, you can enable or disable a control, or change a mouse-over effect. In addition, the Dynamic Controls library includes the SVG source code, so you can extend the library by creating your own controls.
